Computer Classes

The library is now offering computer classes every month to community members.  Classes range from beginner computer skills to Internet use, as well as information finding and a class that teaches how to use downloadable services like eBooks and more.  To register for a class visit the library or call 740-852-9543.

Classes are approximately 2 hours long.  The library encourages community members to take a complete track of classes to get the most out of each session.  

Each track includes a Basic Computer (Windows 7) class, an Introduction to the Internet class and one application class Digital Download Services.  Individuals that want to learn or brush up on their computer skills at their own pace can go to the self-paced online classes at http://eco.connectohio.org.  [1]  

Community members are not required to complete a track of classes but if they do they will be eligible to receive discounts from technology related companies through the Every Citizen Online [2] program being sponsored by Connect Ohio.  To learn more about the program go to www.connectohio.org [3].  

The library has been awarded a grant from Connect Ohio which has received funds through the Federal Stimulus program. The grant is being used to purchase laptops for a mobile computer classroom and will also cover cost for materials and instructor fees.   If you have any questions about registering online or for a class please call the library for assistance at 740-852-9543.

You can have a chance to win a Lexmark Color Printer by attending one of our free classes through May, 2013.  Simply attend a class and be entered into our drawing to win.  If you attend three classes or complete a track of classes you will have three chances to enter the drawing.
