Read More in 2010!
If you made a resolution to read more in 2010 then join one of the library's book clubs! They are casual, fun and a great way to share your passion for reading. There is the fiction “Book Club” lead by Gary Branson, which meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. This club will look at a variety of genres over the course of the year so there is certain to be a few favorites for everyone.
For those who like to read books based on reality there is the “Non-Fiction” club lead by Bryan Howard, which meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. This club will dive into a variety of non-fiction genres including biographical, historical and contemporary titles. Get ready to broaden your horizons in 2010!
The library even has a book club for those who like to watch movies, as well as read. The library's "Based on the Book Club" lead by Jack Phoenix looks at the book and the theatrical versions of a story, which always leads to exciting conversations. This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
For teens between the ages of 11 to 17, the library has the “YA Book Club”. This group lead by Mike Hensel, meets twice a month, once on the second Wednesday and again on the fourth Wednesday at 3:00 pm. The group has a book discussion time and occasionally plays trivia games and more. It's a great time for teens to be active after school.
